The New Zealand university system is research-based, as it is historically based on the British higher education model. This means there are a number of similarities between the 2 systems, such as the names of qualifications, teaching methods, and the look and feel of the university campuses.
The colleges and universities in New Zealand have been recognized internationally and maintain high academic standards. All the education programs offered by colleges and universities are accredited by the government of New Zealand. As a student, you can enter into the education system during any stage. There are 8 state universities, 5 colleges, and 25 state polytechnics institutes to choose from!
